Verse 1 And now the truth is I have felt the winds over my back. I’ve heard whispering about playing games of chance. I’ve seen the sunrise over mountains in a town that I grew up in. It couldn’t hold it’s own to you. Cards change hands, these are the rules we’ve learned to play with. A sleight of hand could change the outcome of this deck. When I got home there was a paper bag full of my things, Said “Mr. Taylor, this was fun but this won't last”. And I was dreaming, About the things that used to matter most. Verse 2 And I was once in love, hopeless and romantic as they come. But I’ve felt the fangs sink into my neck. I’ve drawn my cards, but I can see it in your eyes, You’re holding out for something big this time. You know that I can take a fall. Spent a lifetime on my own. Don’t test my patience, it’s running thin tonight. You pulled a cowards card and drove ‘fore I saw you at my door. I’ll admit failure, but that don’t make the wrong things right. And I was dreaming, About the things that used to matter most. Chorus And I’ve been haunted by the best of all the broken hearted. And I feel sick to death inside. I faked my way through years of feeling like tonight’s the night. I’ve finally given up that fight. Maybe I can push it all, Push it all to the side. I’ve drawn lines to save the better parts left in me. But with redemption comes regrets. And now the truth is, there ain’t one thing I wouldn’t change, If I had the chance.

Verse 1 I see you called, but your voice was just a dial tone. There are things I should have been, they were far too dangerous. Glad you came, glad you went, glad I haven’t seen you since. There are things I should have been, I regret more than anything. Verse 2 I’m not the boy you used to know, so cruel and reckless. I’m no diamond in the rough. I’m just coarse and jagged. In the dark you couldn’t see, you were lost as lost could be. I’m no diamond in the rough. I’m just years of baggage. Verse 3 I could have been much better. You know I ain’t been so kind. Ever omen calling left me wondering why. I heard babylon awaits, it’s feeling further every day. You sealed your own fate, but every ditch I dug was mine. Chorus I found the messages you left, found the proof you were gone. I wasn’t Bonnie, you weren’t Clyde. My bones were restless, you were young. You were crawling in your skin. Wounded demons, ghosts that haunt. Framing portraits in my soul, carving names into your heart. I’ve learned my lessons, I’ve seen blood. Built my ship and I rode the flood. This was fun, but I sure as hell wouldn’t call this love.

Edge Cases 04:59
Verse 1 You were right about running, And how my feet were cast in cement. You don’t come round these parts all that often, I can tell in the way you still laugh. And I know you think you might have had it hard, But you ain’t seen nothing yet. So just wait ‘til she comes and takes all you love, And leave you gasping for breath. Verse 2 You were right about staying, And how eventually everything rusts. The floorboards will rot, the walls will start cracking, The windows collecting dust. Boy I know you love speaking in metaphors, But this ain’t one. So just wait ‘til she comes, and drains you of blood, And leaves you her emptiness. Chorus Oh my, my, What did you think you would find out of line? So many years of not solving, Just patching our problems with more problems. Oh my, my What did you bring here tonight? We won’t make it out alive, But we try, and we try, and we try. Bridge Wake me up, ‘Cause there’s something holding me down. Wake me up, ‘Cause there’s something holding me down. Wake us up, ‘Cause there’s something holding us down Wake us up ‘Cause there’s something holding us, Something holding us.

Ignite 03:37
Verse 1 I was running for my life. You were always saying “run a little faster”. I was playing aces high. I didn’t know the rules or the outcome I was after. I remember the scene, and how the plot unfolds. I was looking for love, you were sniffing out blood, and place to bury his bones. Verse 2 Your teeth were red as blood, and mine were white as surrender. You stole my wings, just like the cruelest of your treasures. I played my part, I just want to go to sleep. And stop wasting my days, digging my own grave, and suffocating. Chorus You were beautiful, like a harvest moon in the devil's sky. Fading in and out of focus, like disappearing ink. Like dreams we had at nineteen, they were never meant to last. You were kerosene and I’m just the fool that lit the match.

Verse 1 Holy communion, drink this and rid your sins. Sweet and bitter, the taste of wine upon my lips. I woke up sweating, with my head inside a noose. I was falling, but you were falling too. Verse 2 Holy communion, Drink this and rid your sins. I was stalling, just swaying in the wind. And have you ever felt so dressed up and so composed. But with the wrong words, all your seams could be exposed. Verse 3 Holy communion, drink this and rid your sins. The air was heavy, It was damp, and it was thick. The light was yellow. It was hanging from a string. In a basement, with all these fallen kings.
